www.selfcateringitaly.co.uk - Schokoland - There is a chocolate factory near Lake Lugano where Alpenrose chocolate is made. This is only 20 minutes by car from Dumenza. The factory has a small museum with an equally small entrance fee. This also includes an overhead view of the factory where you can see the chocolate being made from start to finish. The museum has various ancient chocolate making machines, chocolate dispensing machines and chocolate moulds. The most important of these moulds is of course the one to make the chocolate Easter bunny.
You will also see a short film showing the manufacturing process and get to sample the chocolate for free. You leave museum by going through the shop where you will be tempted by large bars of chocolates. They take Swiss Francs, Euros and of course credit cards. You may need you credit card.
