Val Veddasca is north of Dumenza and includes the Passo della Forcora (m 1179), about 12 miles from Dumenza. To get there by car head first for Maccagno then follow the signs Veddasca and then Lake Delio.When you reach your destination you will find amazing views of the mountains around Lake Maggiore. It is ideal for walking holidays in Lake Maggiore. There are plenty of walking routes marked from the pass.

Passo della Forcora is a great starting point for hiking in the surrounding mountains where, and if it happens to snow in winter you can enjoy alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. There are a couple of skilifts. Passo della Forcora
