It is about 50 minutes drive from Dumenza and we recommend you drive there via Luino and then driving in a northerly direction along Lake Maggiore. The market is held the every Saturday morning from 8am to 1pm. To see the main sights you can pick up a walking map from the tourist information which is found in the Palazzo Civico, in Piazza Nosetto. The Palazzo Civico is worth a visit itself, with cloistered walkways on 3 floors. From here we walked to the Castelgrande, which is the castle closest to the centre, via Vicolo al Sasso. The Castelgrande has two towers, known as the Black and White Towers, which have very impressive views of the valleys and mountains aroundBellinzona as well as the town itself. You can also see the other two castle from here, Castello di Montebello and Castello di Sasso Corbaro, which is higher up. You can walk to both these castles using the map supplied by the tourist information as well as all the other sights of Bellinzona which include Parco e Villa dei Cedri, Piazza Teatro and Piazzo Governo and Chiesa dei SS Pietro e Stefano in Piazza Collegiata.
